玉井さんが夜明け前に1人雪山にハイクで登ると色々なものを感じ感覚が研ぎ澄まされると話していたのがとても印象的で、それをアイデアに描いてみました。

The well received Mid Fish that was only available in the Outline Core version is now available in poplar/bamboo core.
This core is lighter-weight, adding liveliness when maneuvering through the trees but is also more powerful when compared to the rather supple feel of the OC.
This new flex combined with the progressive sidecut allows cruising down wide open faces at high speed and also a little more reliable on bumpy surfaces.
This Mid Fish is the next generation all-around model that can be ripped around the resort and making full rail bottom turns through the modern 3D parks.

Artist
His works reflect his influence from the counter-culture movement of the 50s and 60s and developed his original style blending the aesthetic taste from Japan and American retro illustrations.
Clinical but humorous stories that can be interpreted through his art has been widely accepted throughout the world and he has been actively exhibiting his works in various countries.

Comment from Hanai
I was inspired and got the idea for this illustration from Taro Tamai’s story about having his senses getting honed and feeling the presence of various things around him when he’s hiking up the snow mountains by himself before dawn.
