ミスターパイプラインこと、ジェリー・ロペス氏の求める理想的なスノーボードとして生まれたノカオイ。
彼が産み出した滑りの境地「どの様な状況でもリラックスして、スムーズなラインを紡いで行くスタイル」その滑りを雪上で具現化するシェイプとなった。
パウダーライディングで威力を発揮するポインティーノーズに、テーパーを押さえたワイズを組み合わせ、シャープでありながら取り回しの軽いハイパフォーマンスな、いわゆる「ホットドッギング」なライディングを可能にする仕上がりになっている。均一なコンディションが整う事が少ない、アメリカ北西部の山々でも安定してパフォーマンスを発揮できるよう、キャンバーにはショートキャンバーが採用されている。

The NOKAOI was made as Gerry Lopez’s magic board.
Gerry exchanged ideas with Taro to come up with a new shape that allowed him to draw smooth and relaxed lines he’s renowned for in any kind of snow conditions.
Featuring a pointy nose for outstanding float in the powder, a minimal taper to allow for sharp, yet light and lively performance for a so-called “Hot-Dog” riding style.
A subtle “short-camber” system has also been incorporated to allow the NOKAOI to perform in the variable conditions of the Pacific Northwest.
